Why this exists
RoleRadius began as something its founder built for himself. After 25 years leading IT consulting and cybersecurity companies, he was burned out and wanted different work. Burnout makes a job search harder because searching, reading postings, and preparing applications all require time and attention. He could not spend his evenings searching, so he built a system to run the search for him. It checked new postings every day and compared their responsibilities with his work history, reducing the time he spent searching manually. That system became RoleRadius. It is designed for experienced job seekers who have limited time to search.
What it does

- The data covers over 207 million job postings from over 12 million companies, drawn from over 300,000 sources.
- Matching jobs to your experience.
- Each posting is weighed against the work you have done and the kinds of work you are open to, rather than the title alone. This can identify roles in new fields that require skills you already have. Each match explains the experience and posting details that affected its ranking.
- A daily sweep.
- Your radius is how far your search reaches. RoleRadius finds it from your resume and the kinds of work you can do, inside the pay and location limits you set. A sweep is one pass across the job market looking for postings that fit, and one runs every day. RoleRadius runs the daily search automatically, including on days when you do not have time to search manually.
- Your applications in the same place.
- Every application you are running is tracked from applied through to an offer, with the dates, your notes, and a saved copy of the posting. You do not need to maintain a separate application-tracking spreadsheet.
