Joining and cost
- How do I sign up?
- Select your plan on the pricing page and follow the process to subscribe. You will receive a welcome email and immediate access to the platform. Upon your first sign-in you will see the Welcome screen, where you complete your profile by uploading your resume, then setting your minimum salary, your type of work, and any deal-breakers that keep certain jobs out of your results.
- How am I billed?
- Membership is a subscription, and a longer term costs less for the same access. The fees and the billing period are shown before you subscribe. You can cancel online at any time and keep access through the end of the period you paid for. Current pricing for every term is on the pricing page. If you want to see how the pricing compares with the cost of your time searching manually, there is a calculator there too.
- Can I refer someone?
- Yes. Send them the sign-up page. Anyone can sign up, and no referral is required.
How it works
- How is this different from a job board?
- Job boards generally return results based on the titles and keywords you enter. If you do not search for a title, suitable jobs using that title may not appear. RoleRadius reads what a posting says the job involves and compares it with what you have done, so openings you would never have searched for still reach you. It draws on over 207 million jobs from over 12 million companies using over 300,000 data sources, does the first read of every posting, ranks what fits, shows why each job ranked where it did, and tracks the applications you send. How it works walks through the whole sequence.
- What is a sweep?
- Your radius is how far your search reaches. RoleRadius finds it from your resume and the kinds of work you can do, and you set its limits: where and how you are willing to work, your minimum pay, and what you will not consider. A sweep is one pass across the job sources looking for postings that fit your radius. Sweeps run once a day.
- Does it work for my field?
- It works from the words employers use in their own postings, so it is not tied to a list of industries or job families. RoleRadius reads your resume to find your reach: describing what you did, not only the titles you held, gives the matching more to work with. The openings are full-time and contract roles in the United States, and you set your minimum pay in US dollars.
- What determines which jobs I see?
- Only the limits you set can rule a job out of your list, such as pay disclosed below your minimum, a location that conflicts with how you are willing to work, a deal-breaker word appearing anywhere in the posting, or a posting older than the age limit you chose. They all live in your settings and are yours to change. Everything else changes the order of your list, not whether a job appears in it. Ruled-out jobs stay visible with the reason. The match grade is a ranking for you to weigh, not a decision made for you.
- What if a posting disappears?
- Postings are checked for closure and closed ones are set aside. Every posting we check is saved in your account, so the description is still readable after the employer takes it down. That matters when an interview lands three weeks after you applied.
Applying
- Does anything go to an employer without me asking?
- No. You apply on the employer's site, with documents you reviewed and approved. RoleRadius does not submit applications automatically.
- Can my current employer or a recruiter tell that I am looking?
- Not from RoleRadius. Your resume, your criteria, your matches, and your applications sit in your own account and are only visible to you. Employers and recruiters cannot browse members or search resumes here. Employers receive only what you send them.
Your resume and your information
- What do you do with my resume?
- It is the reference for matching, for the reasons behind each match grade, and for any tailored version you ask for. It is stored with your account, no other member can see it, and it reaches an employer only when you send it. We do not sell your information. Our privacy policy sets out what we hold and how to export or delete it.
- How does a tailored resume work?
- RoleRadius uses AI to build a draft from the information in your resume and profile: the tailoring re-emphasizes, reorders, and rephrases what is already there. An automated check then compares every line with your resume and profile and flags any line with no supporting source found. The check can miss errors, so review the entire tailored resume and correct anything inaccurate before submitting it with an application. RoleRadius does the majority of the work for you.
- Who can see my account?
- No other member can see your resume, matches, applications, or notes. Accounts are kept separate from one another. Authorized RoleRadius personnel can access account data when you request support or when access is necessary to operate and maintain the service. Information is encrypted in transit and passwords are stored hashed. Rather than make broad security claims, we tell you exactly what we do.
- Do you sell my information or pass it to recruiters?
- No. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to recruiters or employers.
Time and results
- How long before I see results?
- Setup only takes a few minutes. Your first matches usually appear shortly after you finish it or overnight. RoleRadius searches for you every day. Your match history grows as it evaluates more job postings.
- Is a free 3-day trial enough to judge?
- You will see matches almost immediately. Your first matches appear within minutes of finishing setup, a fuller search runs overnight, and a new sweep runs every day after that. By the end of the trial you have seen 2 to 3 full days of matches against your own work history.
- How much time does it take each day?
- A few minutes to read the top of your list and answer each job. The longer work, approving a tailored resume, happens only on the roles you decide to pursue.
- Will this get me a job?
- RoleRadius provides you with daily automated searches, an explanation for each job match, and the Tracker to follow every application you send. RoleRadius exists to help improve your chances of finding jobs you can be successful in, but we cannot promise you will get a job. That is up to the employer, based on many criteria as well as the qualifications of other applicants and their business needs.
- What happens if I take a job, or want to leave?
- Cancel whenever you like. Access runs to the end of the period you paid for. Your account and its history are kept for 90 days after that, so if you come back within that time your record is still there. You can export or delete your information at any time from your settings.
Getting started
- Do I need to be good with computers?
- Somewhat. You need to be comfortable using a web browser, uploading a resume file you have saved, and working through your matches on screen. Everything runs in a web browser on a phone or a laptop, and there is nothing to install and nothing to maintain. If using a computer is genuinely hard for you, this will be hard going.
